Choosing a Wedding Band and Dhol Package

Compare team size, performance time, equipment and procession support. A clear band brief helps separate musical preferences from practical event requirements.

Describe the performance you want

Share the event format, route or venue space, expected timing and the kind of music you prefer. Ask for examples of the team’s work and discuss whether the quoted group is the one that will attend. Confirm how many performers are included and which instruments or support equipment they bring. A team-size description is more useful than a package name if you want to compare suppliers fairly.

Check the operational scope

Ask when the team arrives, how much performance time is included and how waiting or extra time is handled. Discuss transport, uniforms if relevant and coordination with other procession suppliers. Ask the venue and responsible suppliers about the actual location’s sound and access requirements. Write down what the band provides and what another team must arrange. A booking for musicians may not include lighting, vehicles, sound equipment or route coordination.

Agree cues and communication

Provide a short preference list and identify any entrance or ceremony cue that matters. Ask how requests will be communicated during the event without several guests giving contradictory instructions. Name the team lead and the family or coordinator contact. Reconfirm the gathering point and timing close to the date. Keep the final accepted scope available on the day so performance expectations and operating hours can be checked against a common record.

Quick checklist

  • Confirm the attending team and instruments.
  • Review relevant performance examples.
  • Record included performance and waiting time.
  • Separate music from lighting and transport scope.
  • Agree one contact for cues and requests.

Is a larger band always the better choice?

Choose a team that suits the route, space and performance style. Ask the supplier how the proposed size works for your event rather than choosing only by headcount.

Put the guide into practice

Prepare your event brief, then discuss the exact location, date and scope with suppliers.
